Moguls — the flying demon of Konuri
Moguls is a flying, poisonous-type of Artie that comes from deep within the caverns of the planet Rucerth in one of the darkest corners of the Metaverse. He is from the species Konuri, which means “flying demon” in their native language. It is told in legends that they terrorized the other creatures of the planet every full moon. They would come out of their caves and suck the blood from any living being that would encounter their path. This happened for thousands of years, with every other species on the planet slowly disappearing. This made them adapt to more omnivorous diets. Moguls, being one of the strongest of his species, rapidly became the leader in such landscape.
Now Rucerth is an almost deserted planet, with most of the other species going extinct. The Konuri live in constant deep sleep to preserve energy, in the darkest depths, waiting to be awakened by creatures (or explorers) that might roam the planet once again.
Moguls is a bat-like creature of medium to small size, but he balances this out by being fatally venomous, and incredibly agile while flying.
Having a rounded body with several shades of green and four blue wings made of crystallized skin membranes, this Artie can fly in any direction at any point in time, making him a hard target to hit. He has crystal horns that serve as defense armor and eyes that glow in the night. Moguls has large fangs that allow him to inflict a great amount of venom into any of his victims. Depending on the resistance to venom of the other creatures, this Artie can kill in an instant, or throughout a long battle.
This formidable creature emits a clicking sound before every attack, doing this to create fear in his opponents. Despite having a fierce appearance, he actually has a docile nature and does not become enraged easily, as long as he does not get disturbed when sleeping in the daytime. This completely changes when he is hungry.
Furthermore, Moguls can create ultrasonic waves that others cannot hear in order to help himself to dodge surrounding obstacles while he is flying at night or in tight caves.
Moguls’ attack is called “Stunning Shock”. This move allows him to propel himself to any location on the battlefield and bite a single enemy creature. The effect can be poisonous or paralyzing, depending on the perks the Artie has equipped.
His critical hit is known as “Toxic Gas”. Moguls concentrates all the venom in his body to make a highly acidic gas that he emits, melting everything around him. This move deals toxic damage to everyone on the enemy team for a few turns, having a very big area of effect.
This Artie is the fastest one in the known Metaverse; however, it has very weak defense. With his high level of acrobatic movement, if players are able to position him to safety, it should not be hard to win every encounter.
